Joseph  J. LeFleur

Joseph J. LaFleur, 87, of Brodhead, WI, passed away Tuesday, November 26, 2013 at Edgerton Care Center. He was born in Janesville on January 31, 1926, the son of Joseph and Barbara (Mutter) LaFleur. He graduated from Janesville High School and served in the U. S. Army from May 17, 1944 to June 11, 1946. He was stationed in France where he was in the Battle of the Bulge, was wounded in action and received the purple heart. He married Eleanor Blumreich on April 12, 1947. Upon his discharge from the Army, he began working at Fisher Body. He  was later employed by Ossit Church Furniture Company for many years until they closed and he retired from Hufcor. Joseph was an avid gardener and enjoyed woodworking, hunting and fishing..
Surviving are three children, Ruth (Norman) Burns of Janesville, David (Bonnie) LaFleur of Brodhead, Annette (Ken) Kidder of Janesville, six grandchildren, David (Jamie) LaFleur Jr., Jason LaFleur, Jennifer (John) Jastrow, Christine (Tom) Nolan, Kristina (Brandon) Foster, Amanda Cass, ten great-grandchildren, Tasha, Corbin, Austin, Austin, Meghan, Abby, Alayna, Brielle, Adalynn and Cyrus, one sister, Frances Arner, one sister-in-law, Doris Diers, nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his wife, Eleanor on September 16, 2001. His parents, four sisters, his grandson, Danny and great-grandson, Alex LaFleur also preceded him in death.
A memorial service will be held at 1:30 p.m. Saturday, November 30, 2013 at Henke-Clarson Funeral Home, 1010 N. Wright Rd., Janesville with visitation Saturday from 12:30 pm. until the time of services
